Governance 4.0 will expand debates initiated at the 7th Lisbon Legal Forum

The 7th Lisbon Legal Forum ended this Wednesday, a meeting that held conferences, panels and Workshops on the topics Justice and Security. The Forum is an initiative of the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV), the Brazilian Institute of Public Law (IDP) and the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL).

At the closing session, Rui Lanceiro, Doctor of Legal-Political Sciences and Professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, representing Professor Carlos Blanco de Morais, recalled that the debates initiated in the Portuguese capital will be expanded within the scope of Governance 4.0, a project that promotes study and research groups, publications, meetings, Workshops and webinars. “We are together at the frontier of the future to discuss new problems together, on both sides of the Atlantic,” said Lanceiro.

Gilmar Mendes, Minister of the Supreme Federal Court (STF) and Professor at the IDP, added that the project has been growing stronger since last year and that it already has an expressive library of texts available to everyone for contribution. Governance 4.0 is an initiative of the organizers of the Forum together with the University of São Paulo (USP). Mendes concluded by saying: “I thank everyone and we will return in April next year with the VIII Lisbon Legal Forum”.
