A 6^the Lisbon Legal Forum edition, which took place in April 2018, was intended to set the scene and debate major contemporary issues under the motto of the Social State in the context of globalization.

The objective was to discuss the guarantee of fundamental rights in the new global context strongly marked by the technological revolution and the movement of people, goods, and capital, a central debate for the maintenance and strengthening of democracy.
