In partnership with Future Carbon Group, the eleventh edition of the Lisbon Legal Forum will take unprecedented action to neutralize its carbon emissions and become a carbon-neutral event.

Future Carbon will calculate the event's carbon footprint, producing an inventory of emissions and donating the equivalent amount of carbon credits from forest conservation projects in the Amazon. These are projects developed from start to finish by Future Carbon, in private forest conservation areas in the Amazon, and approved by the international certifiers VERRA and CCB.

To guarantee the highest quality and integrity of the credits, the actions go beyond the preservation of the forest and biodiversity: part of the revenue will be invested in social impact projects. These are initiatives to achieve the UN's SDGs, which show Brazil's commitment and potential as a protagonist in the decarbonization agenda.
